Do they have noise cancelling? Minus Plus

Our Sleepbuds® feature passive noise cancellation to block out snoring and other disruptions. In addition, we offer “noise masking” audio content (think, white noise, ocean waves, babbling brook, etc) to cover up and replace any sounds that bleed through the passive seal of the comfortable silicone tips. This “block and replace” noise-masking technology is different from active noise cancellation, and our testing indicates that it’s more effective for the sleep use case in a bedroom environment.

Can I stream anything? Minus Plus

Yes. Ozlo Sleepbuds® can stream anything (Netflix, Spotify, Audible, Youtube, etc) that a normal bluetooth headphone can.

Do they have an alarm? Minus Plus

Yes, Sleepbuds® have a built-in private alarm which can be set up through the Ozlo app. The alarm doesn’t require the phone to be connected, and still works even in bluetooth disabled mode.

Is there a phone-free mode? Minus Plus

While a phone and an active bluetooth connection are necessary to initially set up and to stream audio, your Sleepbuds® can be configured to automatically play your built-in Sleep Sound as soon as you take them out of the case. No phone or bluetooth connection required.

What is the wireless range? Minus Plus

Ozlo Sleepbuds® have a range of up to 10ft (3 meters) from the Smart Case. The Smart Case has a range of up to 10ft (3 meters) from the source device (like a phone). This range may be reduced by physical obstructions, such as walls and doors, or by interference from other electronic devices.

    Absolutely the best - worth every penny

    I was devastated when Bose stopped making sleepbuds, as mine were no longer working reliably, then I was very hopeful when I saw Ozlo on on Indiegogo and backed them. One of mine had an issue during its first year, but after some troubleshooting Ozlo replaced it and the new pair has worked perfectly. Great product, great company, great service - I’m a customer for life.

    These earbuds saved my sleep

    Not only am I a light and anxious sleeper, I have a very loud oriental shorthair cat who has not helped with my already fragile sleep. After trying many different earbuds (foam, silicone, loop and other gimmicks) I was nearly all out of options. I was at first hesitant to purchase ozlos due to the price, but became desperate due to my deteriorating sleep and sleep med dependency. Enter ozlos - they have completely changed the way I sleep, I am often able to sleep through the night with a couple of short wakeups and have successfully blocked out my cat who often meows at my door. They also do not come out of my ears all night. I have now become much more confident with my sleep subsequently stopping all sleep medication. My only suggestion is it would be awesome if there was noise cancelling, especially with the price point. Nonetheless, ozlos would have to be nearly the best on the market and they have saved my sleep.

    Saved my sleep life!

    After 15 years of dealing with nighttime noises from my wife due to a medical condition, I have slept without interruption for almost a year. Since the VERY FIRST NIGHT, I have slept through without being woken up. It has helped my sleep quality as well as kept me from waking her several times a night, nudging her out of REM sleep until I could get to sleep. The different sounds and frequencies allow you to pick one that matches the sounds you are looking to cover, so it isn't just for snoring. TOTAL GAME CHANGER. My ONLY take away is when they 'disconnect' in the middle of the night and I have to reboot. But that is only a few times here and there. When they disconnect and I try to go back to sleep, I am reminded of the years of struggles, and it makes me realize how great they really are.

    Really want these to be my go-to, but…

    Great product design/comfortable, however app needs help…for instance, app states it can “sense” when one falls asleep, but every time it switches to sleep sounds when I am still listening to a podcast…super annoying

    Can’t in good conscience recommend

    These had the potential to be as good as the Bose version. However, they never fixed the charging issue present in the Bose version and keep telling me my issue “might” be grounds for a warranty replacement, but then start the debug/troubleshooting process over again with the promise that the latest firmware update will totally 100% fix the problem for realsies we swear… over and over until I’m most likely now out of the warranty period. Great job, thanks so much. The problem is that the firmware updates fix the problem for a few days and then the issue returns and I honestly just don’t have time to constantly be emailing them back and forth so I gave up, which feels like what they wanted by sticking me in a constant reset loop. I haven’t used them in half a year (since my last contact where the update resolved the problem for exactly 3 days before it returned worse than before) because I can’t get them to retain charge for more than an hour of use despite constant firmware updates and factory resets and everything. I wish I could recommend these but as it stands they are actually worse than the Bose ones because I can’t use them, and I’m tired of going in circles with support.

    Was skeptical w/ my snoring husband

    My husband and I have opposite work schedules and for the last year we have been sleeping in opposite rooms because he snores INCREDIBLY loud. Even with my fan setting at the highest I cannot drown out his snoring, and he can’t fall asleep to white noise. Standard earplugs didn’t work, bulky noise canceling headphones didn’t work. I was hesitant to buy these because of the price but I did and they are INCREDIBLE. They fit comfortably in my ears as a side sleeper, and the white noise (Crimson Cloak at 100%) allows me to sleep straight through the night with no waking up to his snoring! We can sleep in the same bed again without any disturbances. It actually improved for our relationship to be able to do that again. 5/5 recommend!!

    Love the sleep bud functionality but significant battery duration issues after only 15 months

    I purchased these during the Indie GoGo campaign, waited 4 months for them to arrive and received them in June 2024. Up until several months ago I’ve thought they were fabulous, a game changer for sleep and I’ve recommended them to many friends BUT over the past few months the battery capacity has degraded significantly and now they last only about 7.5hrs before they die. Not good when you are relying on their alarm to wake you. I contacted support and since the warranty is only for 12 months, they said all I could do was buy any other pair if I wanted to have more battery life. They did offer $100 off a second pair as I was a “valued backer” but that’s such a disappointing response (and the cost would be more than I paid originally even with $100 off) and doesn’t speak well to their long term commitment to their customers, especially the early backers. I can’t afford to buy a new pair every 15 months when the battery capacity declines well below the advertised duration (up to 10hrs).
